The Kitchener Waterloo War Resisters Support Campaign
is a part of a broad-based coalition of community, faith, labour and other organizations and individuals that have come together to support U.S. soldiers seeking asylum in Canada because they refuse to fight in the illegal war in Iraq.
The Campaign works on two fronts: we support the material needs of war resisters when they arrive in Canada; and we campaign to persuade the Canadian government to provide sanctuary for U.S. war resisters.
Anti-War @ Laurier works closely with the The Kitchener Waterloo War Resisters Support Campaign.
Canadian Peace AllianceThe Canadian Peace Alliance (CPA) is Canada's largest umbrella peace organization. Since its foundation in 1985 the organization has been helping member groups to act as a broad network, in order to provide a strong, coordinated voice for peace issues at the national level.

The Humanist Movement is volunteers, connected around the world, working at building a world that is worthy of the human experience:
The ideas behind this current are know as New Humanism and recognize the Humanist Attitude occurring at various moments through history.
The increasing violence in today's world helps to form clear indicators of the contemporary Humanist Attitude.

Food not Bombs Because food is a right, not a privilege. Because scarcity is a patriarchal lie. Because a woman should not have to use her body to get a meal, or to have a place to sleep. Because when we are hungry, we have the right to get what we need. Because poverty is a form of violence neither necessary nor natural.
Because capitalism makes food a source of profit, not a source of nutrition. Because food does grow on trees. Because we need community, not control. Because we need homes, not jails. Because we need FOOD NOT BOMBS!
