About Us

Who are we?


AW@L is a community-based radical direct action group committed to solidarity and anti-oppressive organizing. We are based out of the Kitchener-Waterloo Community Centre for Social Justice (KWCCSJ) which is located at 63 Courtland Ave in Kitchener, Ontario - Grand River Watershed, Turtle Island.


From Our Declaration:
"We are here to recognize that war and colonialism are destructive and un-ethical force, to encourage others and raise awareness, to challenge ideas and perspectives, to confront systems of domination and oppression, to take responsibility (especially for our privilege), and to utilize our collective power to effect change."
