Today, I was quoted in the Waterloo Region Record as saying, "We as Jewish Candians bear a responsibility, if we blindy support Israel, we force people into anti-Semitic views." By this I mean to say that if we allow the public voice of Jewish communities to support what many people know to be attrocious crimes, and allow them to portray any condemination of Israel as an attack on Jews, then given what is happening in Gaza, we encourage anti-Semitism. There is however, much Jewish resistance; it is EVERBODY's responsibility to force the media to cover that resistance: this can turn public opinion in Canada, which might then force our governments to pressure Israel to stop the assault.
