Proceeds from the party will go towards bringing together 16 youth leaders from across Ontario (including 5 members of AW@L) for a month long action and advocacy program this July. During the program, we will learn more about the threats facing Ontario’s Boreal Forest and First Nation communities, and how we can work together to address these problems. We will learn from and work with experienced trainers, issue experts, social movement veterans, and indigenous leaders.
We believe that we will build a more just, anti-oppressive, and sustainable society if we: increase the number of young people who are involved in grassroots organizing and movement building; work in solidarity with indigenous communities whose values we share on the issues of self-determination and ecological justice. Our month long advocacy program reflects our beliefs.
For more information about the Earth Justice Initiative please contact us at monique.woolnough@gmail.com.
If you cannot attend the party you can still support us by donating.
