Police Continue to Escalate Conflict in Brantford.

BRANTFORD POLICE ARREST 2 YOUNG WARRIORS.
6 NATIONS ACTIVISTS ARE CALLING FOR SUPPORT.

Yesterday, as a show of good faith, “The Fort” that stood out front of the Hampton Inn site at Oak Park Road in Brantford, was taken down temporarily so that workers could get in to take care of some safety concerns. This morning though, construction crews used the opportunity to go back to work on the hotel for the first time in two weeks. A few hours later, two of the Warriors who had been upholding the campsite were arrested by Brantford Police. They are currently in custody in Brantford. One is a ‘young offender,’ and there is hope that he might be released today. The other, Greg Powless who is Boots’ son, is up for bail at 10am in Brantford.

A callout has been issued from the camp for on the ground support tomorrow as well as supplies. The arrest of the two young Warriors is being taken as a direct and aggressive escalation and it is not going to go unanswered. Support is most appreciated and people asked to show up at the teepee on Power Line Road either tonight or early tomorrow morning.
